When to combine images into a PDF
A single PDF is easier to email, upload, print and archive than a pile of separate images. It is common for scanned forms, receipts, ID copies, portfolios and multi-page notes photographed with a phone.
Prepare your images first
- Photograph or scan on a flat, well-lit surface and keep pages upright.
- Crop edges so the page fills the frame.
- Remove blurry duplicates and put files in reading order.
- If the final file must stay small, resize or compress large photos first.
Convert with Serpgy
- Open the Images to PDF Converter.
- Add your images.
- Arrange them in the right order.
- Choose the page size that matches how you will use the file, such as A4 or Letter.
- Create the PDF and download it.
Choosing page size
A4 (210 x 297 mm) is standard in most of the world and Letter (8.5 x 11 in) in the United States and Canada. Match the size to where the document will be printed or submitted, so nothing gets scaled or cropped unexpectedly.
Keep the file size under control
- Very large phone photos can produce a PDF of many megabytes.
- Resizing images to a sensible width before combining often shrinks the file greatly.
- Check any upload limit before you send.
